Morris Mini Cooper S Mk1 CCC75 Prototype Car

General Information

Registration: YSU 940 | VIN: KA2S4/553428 Build Number: 0 | RHD

A unique opportunity to acquire the original CCC75 Prototype, commissioned and endorsed by the Cooper family to celebrate 75 years of the Cooper Car Company.

Finished in the iconic Cooper Works colour scheme of Connaught Green with Old English White roof and bonnet stripes, YSU 940 is the prototype vehicle developed for the highly acclaimed CCC75 programme, a limited-edition series created under the guidance of Mike Cooper, son of Cooper Car Company founder John Cooper.

Based on an original 27 November 1964 Mk1 Morris Mini Cooper S, this car was built to demonstrate and validate the CCC75 concept before the limited production run commenced. It subsequently won its class at the Beaulieu National Mini Day in 2022 on its debut appearance and has featured extensively in promotional material for the CCC75 project.

Historical Significance

The CCC75 project was conceived by Mike Cooper as a tribute to the legendary Cooper Car Company, founded in 1947 by John and Charles Cooper. The company revolutionised motorsport with its rear-engined racing cars, winning Formula One World Championships in 1959 and 1960 before transforming the Mini into one of the most successful competition cars of all time.

YSU 940 is the original prototype from which the CCC75 series was developed and represents a direct connection to the Cooper family legacy.
